Your job

As Domain Expert, you are responsible to steer and enable data (management) related topics as a result of the bank wide strategy. You translate the strategy into central and verified data (management) related standards and guidelines. Furthermore, you will
monitor if those guidelines remain feasible for implementation by the organisation. You have specific in-depth knowledge of the data domain, related standards and guidelines and of statistical and analytical methods.

  • As a part of EU Data Governance team, you closely work with Global and Regional Data Manager in implementing AACB Data Governance framework to support our initiative on becoming a Data Driven Organization.
  • You understand the use of data in the context of business processes.
  • You work with Regional Data Manager, Data Stewards and Data Users to identify critical data elements (CDE), derive the data validation and data quality business rules to establish the Data Quality KPI metrics
  • You perform data profiling, to understand the as-is state of the source system data and identify any data inconsistencies w.r.t target defined structures and define related data cleansing and transformation rules
  • You manage DQ issues logged in Data Quality Issue Management system
  • You execute standard onboarding of business metadata into the repository to formulate data lineage for critical business processes and regulatory reporting
  • You participate in the development and implementation of enterprise metadata standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure quality metadata and support ongoing data governance
  • You participate in data initiatives within the region to ensure that solutions are adhering to data principles
  • You work with Data Privacy Officer to analyze privacy incidents and log into the relevant control systems.

Working environment

Your profile


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of industry leading data management practices and tools
  • Experience in performing data analysis on cross-functional business processes involving multiple IT systems.
  • Experience in Financial Markets is a plus
  • Strong knowledge in databases and development of complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in assisting Data Governance Office in implementing Data Governance Principles, Policies and Processes
  • Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) tool or related tools
  • Experience with Collibra or related metadata management and data lineage tools
  • Experience with Tableau or related business intelligence tools
  • Experience with Jira or related task management systems tools
  • Strong analytical experience and understanding technology processes of information and data.


  • Results orientation, willingness to commit to a direction and drive operations to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage adversity and challenging situations.
  • Strong SQL knowledge is must with data modelling and data management experience.
  • Knowledge of working with large datasets.
  • Prior experience in scripting and application is preferred
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset and strong organizational abilities
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivate
