What are you going to do?

Do you want to provide everyone in the world with healthy vegetables? Do you want to contribute to the improvement and sustainability of food production? Enza Zaden is a biotech company that develops, produces and sells seeds for vegetable varieties all over the world. Seed Operations is responsible for the production, processing and worldwide shipping of these seeds. We are on a mission to become more data driven and we need you! As our Data Steward you are responsible for all data management capabilities in our department, and you ensure adoption of data management practices across our organization. Hence, you will play a crucial role in realizing our data and analytics ambitions.

You will be the core person for data management for the Seed Operations domain. You oversee data quality across our data landscape and actively improve where necessary through flagging of issues, initiating investigations and taking corrective actions. All your stakeholders are eager to meet you and can’t wait to make their business more successful with your well managed data!

What does your team do?
The Data, Analytics & Reporting team helps to take Enza Seed Operations to the next level of becoming data driven! We do this by coaching teams on how to manage and use data. Every team within Seed Operations has data challenges that can be solved by collaborating. We have a global data governance lead that you will work closely with to align policies and standards. Your other stakeholders are our architects, data engineers and other data stewards in different domains.

Our culture encourages professional competencies and short communication lines. We work in multi-disciplinary teams and like to learn from each other. Because you will work in a new team within Enza, it is important that you are able to coordinate and that you know how to set the right priorities. Our goal is to continuously improve and you get excited about that! You feel comfortable in an environment that changes quickly, and don’t need a well-established process in order to excel. If you have a positive and pragmatic attitude, can structure your work in an agile environment, then you will fit in well with us!

Your power

You foster a culture of data savviness in the organization. Your most important responsibilities:

  • You deliver projects and changes in line with future state data architectures, as requested by the architecture team.
  • You maintain the lexicon, data dictionairy and (conceptual and logical) data models for domain data, Meta Data definitions, reference data and other data types.

To meet the job requirements, you;
