Cyber criminals are getting smarter and smarter. Can you keep our data safe? The need for information security is growing in a fast pace, especially within the banking sector, where there is much to be gained for cyber attackers. For this reason, we are constantly looking for smarter ways to make clearing banking as safe as possible. This is a key capability because there is a lot at stake. The Information Security Officer (Compliance) within our organization are the expert IT security advisors. As an expert in Cyber regulations and compliance, you help our colleagues in designing and running secure landscape in a compliant environment.

  • Do you understand various IT security related regulatory requirements?

Your job

  • As an information security officer, you play a crucial role in securing our Application & Infrastructure IT landscape by managing the security risks.
  • You focus on the leading compliance requirements for the crown jewels and ensure that security is constantly improving, amidst IT transformations and evolving threat landscape.
  • You maintain a DevOps and an agile way of working. You contribute to a secured enterprise landscape of the bank not just by securing individual applications, but also by looking at the bigger picture.
  • You brainstorm, advice and work together with our talented Product Grid to ensure information security.

Working environment

In banking, Clearing denotes all activities from the time a commitment (buy or sell) is made for a transaction until it is settled. ABN AMRO Clearing acts as an intermediary between clients and the exchanges these clients trade on. We become the buyer to the seller and the seller to the buyer, taking over the risk to reconcile orders between the parties in the transaction. Processing around 18 million transactions a day. We do so for professional traders, investment managers and large corporates. As clients are highly demanding and the market environment fluctuates, you are guaranteed to learn a lot in a short space of time. Your profile

You are attracted to the global financial markets, you are highly analytical and you embrace technological developments. You have the ability to bring colleagues from different backgrounds, expertise and cultures together in order to optimally serve our clients. The continuously changing environment in which regulations and sustainability play an important  role requires an adaptive mindset. You are curious by nature, drawn to continuous improvement and innovations. Of course, you are result driven, have an inquisitive mind and you enjoy learning new things in an international environment.

  • Assess, prioritize and update existing IT security policies and standards to reflect the compliance framework
  • Support the internal risk assessments, identify areas of potential technical and process vulnerability, and recommend compensating controls
  • Provides leadership & direction to ensure the proper governance is followed through Third Party Risk Management program
  • Evaluate and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the effectiveness of standards and compensating controls in mitigating IT risk.
  • Interact with Internal/External Audit and IT teams to ensure on-going Compliance with company IT security policies and standards.
  • Maintain a management dashboard and produce a periodic compliance report for executive management
  • Provide training and support to the management and colleagues regarding CISO led programs.
  • Work with internal and third party IT security partners to stay current on industry trends, controls and security technologies and services
  • Understand the balance between technical security measures and potential organizational mitigating measures. You identify various Information security themes across our estate and push for continuous improvement. You perform well under pressure.
  • Used to working in an international environment – English is necessary
  • Cultural sensitivity is important, as you will work with different nationalities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills within and outside the department.
  • You live and work in the Netherlands
